orchestrated funding through Houston Endowment for renovations for Central Care
CHC main site and secured contracts from HISD for the Convenience Clinic
Benefits Plan to provide Primary Preventative health care to HISD employees. In
2011 La Toya Darden was a recipient of the Johnson and Johnson Execute
Healthcare Fellowship Program.
The UCLA/Johnson & Johnson Health
Care Executive Program is a management development program exclusively for
executive directors and leaders of health centers and of other community-based
health care organizations. The program provides extensive management and
leadership development at the UCLA Anderson School of Management in Los
Angeles, California. Participants engage in a rigorous but relevant curriculum
that provides the requisite skills, knowledge and abilities to successfully
manage and lead their organizations in a changed world for healthcare delivery.
The program has graduated nearly 600 participants since its inception in 2002.
